Chattanooga Times Free Press & Jefferson City News Tribune Receive Top Awards for Printing Reproduction

NAA ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN COLOR QUALITY AWARD WINNERS

Arlington, Va. - The Newspaper Association of America today announced the winners of its North American Color Quality Award, an honor given to the top newspapers that participated in the International Color Quality Club (INCQC). The awards will be presented at NEXPO 2008, held during NAA's Capital Conference in Washington, D.C.

"The INCQC and NAA recognize the effort and precise attention to detail that goes into producing a high-quality daily newspaper," said Michael Brady, NAA's director of production operations. "The caliber of this year's recipients is remarkable, and is a testament to the growth of color advertising and the newspapers' success in achieving exceptional color reproduction on newsprint."

The North American regional winners will be recognized in two categories, those with less than 100,000 circulation and those with a circulation of greater than 100,000. This year's winners are:

Over 100,000 Circulation
* The Globe and Mail, National Edition, Boucherville, Canada
* The Globe and Mail, National Edition, Vancouver, Canada
* The Globe and Mail, Metro Edition, Toronto, Canada
* La Presse, Montreal, Canada
* The Grand Rapids Press, Grand Rapids, Mich.
* The Kansas City Star, Kansas City, Mo.
* The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Milwaukee, Wisc.

Less than 100,000 Circulation
* The Ann Arbor News, Ann Arbor, Mich.
* Chattanooga Times Free Press, Chattanooga, Tenn.
* The Patriot News, Harrisburg, Penn.
* Journal Star, Peoria, Ill.
* News Tribune, Jefferson City, Mo.
